Casa Frederick Catherwood   a small museum dedicated to Catherwood, an early 19th century (c. 1839) explorer of many Maya cities, sacred sites and pyramids, previously undiscovered. Beautiful lithographs, drawings and descriptions. A must when in Merida. Online, they offer many lithographs that can be enlarged when clicked and have Catherwood's original descriptions of sites.
